PWM-Cleaning: WSQ Washroom Cleaning – Level 1

Course Objectives

This course is meant for learners to be trained on the proper procedures and methods for cleaning washrooms.

The training will include correct and effective performance in cleaning activities that are safe for the learner and the public.

(This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector)

Course Duration

30 Hours

Target Audience

For learners to be trained on the proper procedures and methods for cleaning washrooms

Certification

Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SSG

This course is meant for learners who are new to the cleaning industry. They need to be trained on the proper procedures and methods for cleaning washrooms that are serviced by their employers.

The training will include the performance of cleaning activities in a manner that is efficient, and is safe to the workers as well as to the members of the public.

SECTION DESCRIPTION
Section 1 Preparations required for cleaning washrooms
Section 2 Replenish consumable items in washrooms
Section 3 Remove dust, soilage and spillage from washroom surfaces
Section 4 Clean toilet walls/partitions and surfaces with high user contact
Section 5 Clean toilet floors
Section 6 Reinstate work area

Entry Requirement

  • Speak, listen and write simple English equivalent to WPL Level 1.

  • Little or no formal education needed.

    Note: This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.

Eligible for Claim Period:  07 Jun 2020 – 04 Aug 2026

All fees are subject to prevailing GST of 9% (2024)

SSG Advice:
Student must achieve 75% course attendance, and also pass the assessment to be eligible for SSG Funding.

All Singaporean aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses.
