PWM-Cleaning: WSQ Public Hygiene Maintenance – Level 1

Course Objectives

To equip learners with the skills to effectively perform general, manual cleaning activities in a public area

(This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector)

Target Audience

For learners to be equipped with the basic skills to effectively perform general, manual cleaning activities in a public area.

Certification

Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SSG

This course is meant for learners who are new to the cleaning industry.  Learners after the training will be able to:

  • display the appropriate safety signage at designated area to prevent accidents during the course of cleaning the surroundings

  • perform cleaning in the public areas and the related amenities in accordance to organizational procedures and guidelines

  • collect assigned tools, equipment and supplies and place them on rack receptacles

  • Oral Questions

  • Practical Performance

Entry Requirement

  • Speak, listen and write simple English equivalent to WPL Level 1.

  • Little or no formal education needed.

    Note: This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.

Eligible for Claim Period:  15 Sept 2020 – 14 Sept 2026

All fees are subject to prevailing GST of 9% (2024)

Participant need to pass the test to get subsidy

SSG Advice:
Student must achieve 75% course attendance, and also pass the assessment to be eligible for SSG Funding.

All Singaporean aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses.
