The program is designed to equip students with employable tradecraft in IT, retail, and supply chain management (SCM) roles that exist in many companies across various industries. This course is structured into six essential modules, each meticulously curated to cover critical aspects of IT, retail, and SCM. Students will embark on a journey through the fundamentals of web design, hands-on web programming, and delve into retail’s seismic shift, the intricacies of supply vs demand, inventory management, logistics, and transportation, and green retail SCM. Students will gain thorough tradecraft of transformative SCM and retail web-based applications. The curriculum further explores data visualisation techniques to integrate various business domains and new retail landscape to provide visibility to the business folks. It also emphasises the onlification of society that gives rise to the on-life (instead of just online) retailing and consumers in the sharing economy.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Posses practical skills in website building and strong tradecraft in SCM and retail business operations
Be proficient in setting up online shops and capable of innovating business processes
Have the ability to apply technologies to real-world problems, creating transformative and effective solutions in retail and supply chain management
Be prepared to take on roles such as Retail Specialist, Assistant Store Manager and E-Commerce Specialist and Warehouse Manager in various industries
