Course Duration

33.25 Hours

Target Audience

For learners to be able to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the various forms of horizontal surfaces in a safe manner.

Certification

Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SSG

This course is meant for learners who are new to the cleaning industry.  Learners after the training will be able to:

  • display the appropriate safety signage at designated area to prevent accidents during the course of cleaning the surroundings

  • use allocated PPE to perform cleaning of the assigned hard floor surfaces and carpet

  • use of proper tools to perform cleaning in the public areas and the related amenities in accordance to organizational procedures and guidelines

  • dispose the waste collected at waste-holding area are secured in its containers and reinstate work area

Section 2 Proper use of personal protective equipment
Section 3 Perform cleaning of hard floor surfaces and carpet
Section 4 Dispose waste and reinstate work area

Entry Requirement

  • Speak, listen and write simple English equivalent to WPL Level 1.

  • Little or no formal education needed.

    Note: This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.

Eligible for Claim Period:  15 Sep 2020 – 14 Sep 2026

All fees are subject to prevailing GST of 9% (2024)

SSG Advice:
Student must achieve 75% course attendance, and also pass the assessment to be eligible for SSG Funding.
